After you have installed the Chrome extension, click on the fox icon and follow all the steps mentioned below for the sign-up procedure for the MetaMask login account:
You will see a page with two options 'Import wallet' and 'Create a Wallet'. Simply means if you are an existing customer then go with the 1st option else tap on the 2nd option for account creation.
Post clicking on the 'Create a Wallet' option you will receive a 12-word seed phrase.
Save that seed phrase or copy them to a safe place and click on the 'I've copied it somewhere safe' option and proceed next
That's it, you have created your MetaMask account for free.
Now, you will be able to view your address on Etherscan, your QR code, you can also copy your wallet's address to notes or clipboard.
